Pharmacy chain Rite Aid has reached a settlement with its lenders, the U.S. Department of Justice, and drug supplier McKesson Corp , clearing a path for Rite Aid to complete its bankruptcy case by late April, a company lawyer said Tuesday. "We have reached an agreement on all key points with all key economic stakeholders," Rite Aid attorney Aparna Yenamandra said at a bankruptcy court hearing in Trenton, New Jersey. Before it filed for bankruptcy, Rite Aid faced over 1,600 lawsuits alleging that pharmacy chain ignored red flags and illegally filled prescriptions for addictive opioid medication. Rite Aid received bankruptcy court approval to sell its pharmacy benefit company, Elixir, in January.

MUMBAI, Nov 20 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee is likely to open slightly higher on Monday after the dollar declined to its lowest in over two months against a basket of major peers. Regulators have so far not mandated any minimum net worth or investor qualifications for those trading stock options, and the stock markets almost always rise each year - both recipes for higher risk-taking and complacency. The "stark" increase in daily options trading turnover raises issues of investor protection, said Ajay Tyagi, former SEBI chief. The platform has seen an uptick in futures and options trading activity, Zerodha said in response to Reuters queries. Siddharth Joshi, a 36-year old from Surat in western India, said he lost 200,000 rupees trading options on Adani Enterprises (ADEL.NS) shares in January. "In options trading, I know my loss is capped but there is an opportunity to make maximum profit," he said.

MUMBAI, Nov 10 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee dropped to a record low against the U.S. dollar on Friday, which alongside the outage of the interbank order matching system, prompted the central bank to step in. The rupee dropped to a record low of 83.42 to the dollar and was last at 83.3925. "On why the RBI today decided that (allow rupee to drop below 83.30), it's impossible to say," a forex trader at a bank said. Next week will be very important to see if a new range has been made." He, however, said that the range in the USD/INR has now shifted higher.

MUMBAI, Nov 6 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee is expected to rise at open on Monday after softer-than-expected U.S. jobs data reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will not hike interest rates further. Non-deliverable forwards indicate the rupee will open at around 83.08-83.12 to the U.S. dollar compared with 83.2850 in the previous session. Asian currencies extended last week's advance after the dollar index slumped on Friday following data that indicated that the U.S. labor market was cooling. "Last week’s Fed meeting and latest data flow suggest the rate hike cycle is most likely over. "It's to be fully expected that the rupee will underperform in times when the dollar is under stress," the forex trader said.

Waterfront residential real estate is typically built on or near oceans, lakefronts and rivers. Now, artificial lagoons are another body of water to add to the list. Shaped like large lakes with beaches, lagoons are generally shallow, compared with a lake or the ocean, and are somewhat similar to giant swimming pools. In the United Arab Emirates, Hawaii, Texas and Florida they are a factor for prospective home buyers who are seeking a waterfront property. “Some of these lagoons are located in inland destinations and have redefined what it means to own a waterfront property.” Lagoons offer aesthetic beauty and many recreational opportunities, Mr. Lim said, such as boating, swimming and paddle boarding.

REUTERS/Brendan McDermid/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsOct 26 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has launched a pair of defined outcome exchange-traded funds (ETFs), a group of products that use options strategies to offer upside exposure to stocks while cushioning downside risk. The new funds - the Goldman Sachs S&P 500 Core Premium Income (GPIX.O) and the Goldman Sachs Nasdaq 100 Core Premium Income ETF (GPIQ.O) - will use an options overlay strategy to limit downside risk and generate income, said Michael Crinieri, global head of ETFs at GSAM. Defined outcome products are a relatively new corner of the ETF landscape, although the options strategies themselves are well established. "We started looking at developing enhanced income products like these in 2005," said Monali Vora, head of wealth investment solutions at GSAM.

REUTERS/Francis Mascarenhas/File photo Acquire Licensing RightsMUMBAI, Oct 25 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee rose marginally on Wednesday, helped by retreating oil prices and U.S Treasury yields, while the dollar/rupee cash swap rate indicated that dollar liquidity was less than sufficient. The rupee was at 83.1500 to the U.S. dollar at 11:53 a.m. IST, up from its previous close of 83.1925 but slightly below its open at 83.0650. Meanwhile, USD/INR swap rate for today over tomorrow was at 0.15 paisa following the expiry of the Reserve Bank of India's $5 billion swap on Monday. At 0.15 paisa, the imputed rupee lending rate for raising dollars is 6%, which is 80 basis points below the rupee call rate.

Non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) indicate the rupee will open at around 83.16-83.18 to the U.S. dollar, compared with 83.1225 in the previous session. The rupee on Friday managed a small relief rally on aggressive intervention by the RBI in NDFs and spot. Its looks like the intervention "will not prove too sticky" and the rupee "will be back under pressure", a forex trader at a bank said. The RBI's swap maturity has promoted concerns about a dollar crunch and the central bank, like last week, may once again be a provider of dollars, according to traders.

Non-deliverable forwards indicate rupee will open at around 83.18-83.20 to the U.S. dollar compared with 83.2450 in the previous session. The dollar index was down to 105.74 and the Korean won led Asian currencies higher. The dollar index has struggled since reaching a year-to-date high of 107.34 last Tuesday. It's "possible" that the recent rise in yields on longer-term Treasuries means the Fed need not raise interest rates as much as otherwise, but it's hard to know definitively, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari said on Tuesday. Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic outright said the U.S. central bank need not raise borrowing costs any further.

Non-deliverable forwards indicate the rupee will open at around 82.80-82.82 to the U.S. dollar, compared with 83.09 in the previous session. Indian government bonds will be included in the Government Bond Index-Emerging Markets index and the index suite, JPMorgan said on Friday. Inclusion will start on June 28, 2024, and extend over 10 months with 1% increments on its index weighting. India's inclusion in the JPMorgan index increases the probability of inclusion into the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bonds Index, which, IDFC First Bank estimates, could lead to additional inflows of $15 billion to $20 billion. The dollar index reached 105.74 on Thursday, the highest in over six months.

MUMBAI, Sept 8 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee is expected to open higher on Friday on the back of a pullback in U.S. Treasury yields and a broadly softer dollar. Non-deliverable forwards indicate the rupee will open at around 83.12-83.14 to the U.S. dollar compared with 83.21 in the previous session. The rupee has been flirting with the record low of 83.29 and has largely avoided it, thanks to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) intervention. The dollar index retreated in the Asia session to 104.86, having reached a six-month high of 105.15 in the New York session. Another round of losses in the yuan suggest that upside on the rupee following the open "will not be much", the forex traders said.

MUMBAI, Sept 4 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee is likely to open little changed on Monday after a soft U.S. jobs report reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will not hike interest rates anymore, but the dollar still managed to rally. MUMBAI, Aug 31 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee is expected to open higher on Thursday after the dollar index extended losses following a downward revision to U.S. economic growth in the second quarter. Non-deliverable forwards indicate the rupee will open at around 82.62-82.64 to the U.S. dollar, compared with its close of 82.7325 in the previous session. Asian currencies were up 0.1% to 0.2% after the dollar index fell for the third straight day on Wednesday to reach a two-week low. The dollar index dropped to near 103 and U.S. Treasury retreated after weaker-than-expected growth and labour market data lowered expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates further. The rupee closed at 82.9350 per U.S. dollar, 0.2% stronger than its close of 83.1075 on Monday. "Inflows for initial public offerings and presence of the central bank around 83.10 levels ensured some strength in the rupee after nearly two weeks of fall," said Anil Bhansali, head treasury at Finrex Treasury Advisors. The easing of the dollar index also aided in helping the rupee strengthen past the 83 mark, a trader with a private bank said. "A large foreign bank was mainly on the selling side," the private bank trader added. India's central bank ensured the rupee did not depreciate significantly despite immense dollar-buying pressure from oil companies, Bhansali said.

MUMBAI, Aug 17 (Reuters) - The Indian rupee on Thursday is expected to open just shy of its record low in the wake of a further rise in U.S yields on bets that interest rates are likely to say higher for longer. Non-deliverable forwards indicate the rupee will open at around 83.20-83.22 to the U.S. dollar compared with 82.95 in the previous session. The rupee's record low is 83.29, reached in October 2022. A decline below 83.30 for the rupee "would trigger a new round" of dollar buying and "you can expect a sizeable move", he said. Resilient U.S. economic data and worries over supply have been among the reasons cited by analysts for the jump in U.S. yields.
